I think they are releasing certain applicants from the waitlist. Not that they won't be admitting from the waitlist.
@ImportedOyster: if that's the case i feel like everyone would've gotten an email by now and would've received their R
I must apologize, I misread it. The person who posted it said "me". I am sorry for the confusion!
6:37
Me, fully making plans already for a different school, yet ??? why UCLA hasn’t donged me yet
lmaoooo same i'm entirely committed to the school i' m going to now but i still want to know what ucla's decision would be for me (even though i entirely know as a reverse splitter)
11:30
Last ucla acceptance last cycle was the 22 of July. At this point I am committed to long suffering patience.
15:26
You interview with UCLA yet @fatbear747
4:47
Lol no, they ain’t want my reverse splitter ass. They’re probably just going to ghost me.

hard reverse splitter here, got an A a couple of days ago 😭 don’t lose hopeeee
it's a struggle bus being over 75th percentile for gpa and under 25th percentile for lsat lmaoooooo
16:02
^ Yep. Oh well, we can always do our first year at where we were accepted and then transfer elsewhere.
21:47
Although I must admit, I am a bit frustrated with the waitlist process. I understand that schools don't know how many seats they will truly have until the semester begins. But having hundreds of people on the waitlist many of which who won't get admission is a bit of false hope. I can now appreciate Georgetown having a ranked system and UCB. With just 3 weeks left until the semester begins I don't think many can afford the luxury of just moving on such a short duration when admitted days prior to the semester start.
Very true and a good point. We can probably assume there's about 500 people still on UCLA's WL but even then, out of that entire group I'd say there's probably 25 people who would be willing/able to reroute everything and be at UCLA within 24 hours. While UCLA is my dream school and a school I'd apply to as a transfer after my 1L year (if I'm a top student in my class), if I was to get off the WL at any point in the next 3 weeks I can't just get everything in order in that short of a time frame.
Especially since I've signed a lease with a classmate, I wouldn't put them in that position.
13:32
Damn, that’s a nice group of folks I saw get UCLA Rs today
13:33
(I say, being one of those Rs)
it's been a good run folk

bruins suck anyway
I'm still sitting on the waitlist guys, at this point do I keep waiting or just fuck it and jump off a cliff
Have you interviewed yet? I mean it's a good thing you are still on the waitlist since some people have already been released.
never received an interview invite
JoyousNappyRottweiler
15:57
if we never received an II are we just doomed? is that required for admission from the WL? im somehow still on the WL but never interviewed so...
any update for my UCLA waitlist ppl
dang i just got the axe. good luck to the WLers who are still in this!
yeeeeeep, looks like they rejected all of us who've had C&F issues before
