It's interesting that you're asexual. That's not a sexual orientation one hears much about.

@LinskysMom: if you're going to be spedning 200k on a degree, why you tripping about spending a few hundred on lsat?
NarwhalOfLife
17:29
the few hundreds are an investment. if you spend 500, and get a 20k scholarship, seems like a pretty good ROI
LinskysMom
17:30
@NarwhalOfLife: but what if i do worse and end up not getting scholarships anyway? like: say i get into GULC or UChi off the waitlist this cycle, no scholarships, but i choose to R&R. then i get in RD but with no scholarships anyway. so isn't that risking a waste of the money?
LinskysMom
17:32
@NarwhalOfLife: i just get panicky about that stuff. i have no one to advise me on this process so i'm just not sure how risky R&R actually is i guess? or what my odds are for messing up and decreasing my lsat
LinskysMom
17:35
and also i really do appreciate the extraordinary patience and kindness of everyone giving me advice on here <3

@LinskysMom: Chicago take it and run, gtown at sticker is a gamble since BL is not guaranteed
NarwhalOfLife
17:38
saying GULC at sticker vs chicago at sticker bout to give horsey an aneurysm. idk im working with teh assumption your score will go up. I guess you can just go back to studying and make that consideration once you get off the waitlist
NarwhalOfLife
17:39
like you're assuming your score might not go up, but I'd bet its more likely to go up than you get off the waitlist?
LinskysMom
17:40
that's probably accurate. i could also work for a year and make some money before 1L (currently KJD)
NarwhalOfLife
17:40
also plenty of people have their score go down. most schools seem to not care too much
LinskysMom
17:41
the t14 would care considering i have a 168 rn. i can't afford for it to go down i don't think
babybunny
17:46
you can get score preview and cancel so they don’t see it if it’s lower and you’re worried about it
LinskysMom
17:46
maybe yeah
17:47
score preview is the worst thing you can do
babybunny
17:47
yeah but she’s bugging about it
17:47
bc if you cancel all they can assume is that it was the lowest score possible
17:47
just let them see the score
trees1234567
17:47
or that u had tech issues
trees1234567
17:48
I think the adcomms are very forgiving at this moment of a single cancelled score
babybunny
17:48
i don’t think it’s that serious
trees1234567
17:48
due to the mass amount of tech issues that have occured with the Prometric switch
LinskysMom
17:48
i am bugging babybunny i'm a very high strung little lady. i just do not have very good stress regulation and really need to get into a good law school :(
babybunny
17:48
shawty let’s do some Pilates together you need to destress

Most adcomms only take your highest score
[] erase
17:50
would a bio minor matter?
SeanStrickland2024
17:50
Study for the lsat, see where your PTs are tracking whence you get into the 170s it’s very unlikely you fall below the high 160s
SeanStrickland2024
17:51
@erase: minor edge if you can tie it into your why law, like bio ethics or something
babybunny
17:51
I think the general consensus is that neither majors nor minors matter too much, only your GPA
