FWIW the Columbia $ vs Michigan $$ question amounts to a $120K difference, if you refer to https://www.lawschooltransparency.com/trends/projected-debt the 3-year loan total for CLS is $65K higher than for Michigan

16:00
Unless you want like wachtell or something just go mich
im delusional waitlist person
16:00
The difference is about 60% tuition ($81K at Columbia vs $70K at Michigan) and 40% cost of living ($32K at Columbia vs $24K at Michigan)
16:00
is there just gonna be a day where nyu rejects like 1000 people?
16:00

16:01
Probably, they need to give people some kind of answer
@tarzacc: prob, check their graph from last cycle. Red lightsaber at the end of april

KnowledgeableRitzyWasp
16:01
So I assume nyu is the same
choosing a school because of its elite biglaw outcomes is the stupidest thing ive heard of, and choosing a school for its wachtell option is even stupider
16:02
Oh hi @taygoestolawschool, someone mentioned you had a question in the chat yesterday?
what if u need the bread horsey
16:02
Congrats on the A! (if that's today off the hold)
KnowledgeableRitzyWasp

16:02
@Ijustwannagetinman: omg I never knew you got WL at UCLA
elite biglaw doesnt pay more than regular v50/100
oh yeah wasp i was just piggybacking off what u said no shots intended
16:04
is there a notable difference between t3/t4 softs? trying to decide whether i should focus on getting work experience or just grind for the last more
16:04
Wachtell Lipton and a few others might (WLRK bonuses rumored to be equal to your salary) but you come out even after therapy and divorce lawyers because you bill 3K hours a year
16:06
billing 3k hours sounds like misery
@jb2028: yes today and off a hold, and I totally forgot what I wanted to ask you....
