I think it was everyone waitlisted then omg
12:38
Did everyone get the email on May 15 about scheduling interviews with the dean of Admissions?
12:39
They literally sent it an hour after I sent my notice of Withdrawal. Lol
13:43
I think I may be dropping off the WL. In the email it said they may have some offers in June and July. I was only planning to wait through May. Wish they had provided some more details.

I am WL and did not get an email
I did not get that email Pandally.
9:40
@SteelersReignSupreme: oh. It makes me think that they have a priority list of waitlist apps then. Well! I withdrew, so hopefully that will increase the odds for y'all. I'm happy I'm done waiting on them. If/when y'all get accepted, please tell the school that the admissions team is the worst you've ever dealt with. That whole process was a bunch of crap and I'm so happy I moved on. Haha.
9:43
By the way, the email says that they're planning to "possibly" activate the waitlist the end of May. So, hopefully y'all will start hearing back then.

any noise today
23:42
no noise today but back on to update my cycle and sharing what i know about the recent interviews because the uncertainty and speculation in this process is BRUTAL - i did get the WL interview invite, scheduled a call, and was sent an offer the morning after my chat. from what i heard, the email was sent out to a shortlist (no info on criteria). I was made to understand that scholarship information would follow an admissions decision, but am still waiting to hear back wrt that. the deposit deadline is about two weeks out from the A letter. Hope I see some of y'all around in the fall and good luck to anyone waiting on decisions! It aint over until it's fucking over yall

So if I didn’t get an interview, I’m toast?
10:53
@DoingItForTheCulture: no, there will be more waves off the waitlist up into the first week of classes. Then there's people like me, who would have been in that first round, that have already withdrawn and decided to go elsewhere. It's not over until it's over.
DoingItForTheCulture
10:57
Cool cool. Thanks @pandally. I committed to GM but I secretly am hoping WM will come through because my folks are in Norfolk
I just withdrew from the waitlist. I am going to Richmond. Wishing you all the best!
12:33
@DoingItForTheCulture: makes sense. I hope so for your sake! Both are great schools though

Last year WL movement didn't happen until July. They were quiet all June (self reported data of course).
I had a meeting with Dean Issa today and she said there likely won't be WL movement until July 15

i wonder why so late
i have no idea, i was kind of wondering the same thing. Like we need to find somewhere to live lol
but the amount of people withdrawn has gone up so that's good lol
