Every current student at W&L is super happy. That really stood out to me when I went to ASD this past weekend. Like, who's happy in law school? Apparently W&L students. They love their time there

Did they mention at all how their class is shaping up at ASD? Like how full their class is looking or how many more decisions they have to make
StripedBumpyBeagle
19:32
They did for the school whose day I attended but am just curious
@StripedBumpyBeagle I had to leave ASD early to catch a flight so I wouldn't know. Sorry!
StripedBumpyBeagle
22:09
@WearyVictoriousKingfisher: no problem! hope you had a good time, was there a pretty good turn out? I attended Wisconsin's and there was about 150 students
@StripedBumpyBeagle: I don't think they did mention that at ASD, but they did repeat that they consistently have the 120ish class size. There were probably 60 or so at ASD maybe slightly more.
StripedBumpyBeagle
13:55
@Kerfuffleuffelous: seems in line with their historic class sizes, appreciate the context! Any idea where you are leaning to attend?
OutstandingImpartialKingfisher
14:21
Are they still giving out acceptances?
StripedBumpyBeagle
14:53
@OutstandingImpartialKingfisher: when did you submit? They sent out the majority of their last acceptances in March and then denied / wl everyone else on hold. Check your status checker to see
StripedBumpyBeagle
14:54
They sent the original form to opt in to the waitlist during mid and then late march (to be filled out by 4/1). But there still might be a handful of acceptances to still go out or people who submitted late
@StripedBumpyBeagle: I'm leaning heavily towards W&L. The tight community, the reputation, the job placement power, the happiness levels of current students, the beloved professors, the CoA, the area, etc all seems wonderful
Especially because Emory has been pissing me tf off the last few weeks, especially the past few days lol. After Emory ASD I told everyone that it would be a super steep uphill battle for W&L to convince me not to attend Emory. Well, W&L has proven themselves
StripedBumpyBeagle
15:28
@Kerfuffleuffelous: let me know if you have any Emory questions! My college roommate is a 2L there and I have another good friend who is a 1L
@StripedBumpyBeagle: Thank you! I've talked with so many Emory students at this point and I'm leaning so heavily towards W&L that I don't really have any more questions for students rn. But if I do, I'll give you a shout in here. I appreciate the thought!
Where are you leaning towards/have you decided?
StripedBumpyBeagle
15:35
Sounds good! I am currently leaning towards Wisconsin as I got $$$$
StripedBumpyBeagle
15:36
However, they are very PI focused, which was apparent at ASD. But with their rank and money, hard to pass up. Hoping to see what happens with W&L though
StripedBumpyBeagle

Originally, it was between: Wisconsin, Loyola Chicago, Wake, and W&L. Wake gave me no money & ran out, so I withdrew. So put my first deposit down for Wisc. I am on the WL for W&L but they historically have some decent movement so hoping my loci and what not can turn the needle
Good luck getting of the W&L wl. Madison is a great city, i'd live there easily

I just paid my deposit. Hope to see y'all in the Fall.
Can anyone speak on visiting W&L? I have a visit there next week
Pandally
18:33
Planning to put my deposit down on Monday - anyone think that's cutting too close?
@Pandally: I’ll be putting my deposit down Monday too. Just have to clear my final decision with a legal director. The phone call is scheduled for Monday morning. If he gives me no reason to not go to W&L, consider my deposit already submitted immediately after the call
Pandally
15:04
@Kerfuffleuffelous: nice! Here's to hoping all goes well and we all finally have closure and direction! This process has been stressful lol
FurtiveBonobo
17:05
Put in my deposit today. Just noting for y’all that the Monday deadline is 5pm ET not midnight
@Pandally: Indeed it has. I was super torn between Emory and W&L but now that I've chosen W&L I feel relief
Pandally
22:17
@Kerfuffleuffelous: yayyyy! We may be classmates this fall! I'm holding out for W&M another month but i feel like the universe wants me to go to W&L... and I'm just fine with that. <3
@Pandally: sounds good dude! Look for the readhead 27 year old looking guy with big biceps
Redhead* frickin autocorrect

@Kerfuffleuffelous: haha! Okay, fellow ginger! I'll be one of the only other ginger females.
