The application deadline is 7/15 so it’ll be interesting to see what all the late applicant results are (including mine lolll)

Ha. Yes, very true

Anyone heard anything?

@UnableBreakableHamster: Did you receive any scholarship $$ at UA?
UnableBreakableHamster
11:47
I did. I may very well end up in Tucson next fall.

Congrats!!!
Anyone know if UofA's incoming class is full?
11:41
My friend applied like two weeks ago and got waitlisted last week
are people active in here? its 7/3. deadline in less than 2 weeks, i wonder when the class will be full
StinkyButt
18:31
It’s never technically full until the first day of classes. People withdraw up until that date if they’re accepted somewhere else (for the same reasons). The only schools that are truly full are places like Harvard, Stanford, and Yale and maybe some other high ranking schools with small classes.
StinkyButt
18:32
That said, it is odd that UA is still adding people to their wait list. They shouldn’t be at this point
@StinkyButt: Do you think it's a good sign that they are still admitting people
StinkyButt
0:02
@MereMushyDuck: I don’t know. Purely speculating, I’m inclined to say no if the people they’re waitlisting have good numbers relative to those of us still on the WL. But these law school admissions processes are so opaque that it might not mean anything other than they review applications on a rolling basis until their deadline
StinkyButt
0:04
They should have a better sense of things after their 7/15 deadline, and I expect they’ll start admitting and rejecting folks that week
StinkyButt

Your LSAT score is awesome btw. Have you applied to WashU in St. Louis?
@StinkyButt: Thank you! I studied for about a year. I haven't applied to WashU, but I have thought about it. My goal is to stay in Arizona :)
StinkyButt
2:10
@MereMushyDuck: I got ya. With that LSAT, you should be able to get a solid tuition discount
15:29
So I spoke to the director of admissions a couple weeks before my R and he said this late in the cycle they are only giving As of Rs but then my friend got a WL two weeks later
15:30
My friend did go to UA for undergrad so maybe that has something to do with it
StinkyButt
4:49
That’s interesting. The only thing that definitively reveals is that what the admissions director said wasn’t true, intentional or not
StinkyButt
4:50
They shouldn’t be adding to their WL at this point, which may have been why he said it
StinkyButt
4:52
Sorry about your R. It’s UA’s loss
12:43
Yeah, it’s okay I was below their LSAT median and applied late so I’m not that upset. Also, I guess UA has some internal scandals going on so maybe going this year wasn’t in the cards for me
StinkyButt
16:31
Oh, I hadn't heard. UA as a whole or the law school in particular?
StinkyButt
16:32
they do seem to be somewhat more holistic in their admissions than many other schools, at least according to the data on LSD
19:44
Massive budget shortfall caused by inept management

Today’s their app deadline
StinkyButt
15:26
They should be releasing decisions this week. Should being the operative word.
StinkyButt
15:27
They have their applicant pool.
