Anyone heard anything since Christmas break?
I spoke with them last week on Tuesday. They advised that nothing
^will change until they're back from break. The guy I spoke to said they try not to release decisions towards the end of December because they don't want to ruin anyone's New Year. Given that - and the fact that he told me that I shouldn't the portal until like the 7th or 8th.. I'm assuming it's not going to be until tomorrow or next week that some people can expect some responses.
They did do work prior to Christmas though because I had submitted my application on 12/10 and that was the status until I checked last week on Tuesday and saw that the status changed as of 12/23/23 and he status read "hold for further review".
This could've been because I sent over something that LSAC showed was missing - and my email brought my application to light because of it.
But it could also mean that they were working on applications until that point. The status hasn't changed since that 12/23 status change.

I gotcha, I appreciate the updates again. I havent even gotten an acknowledgement that they recieved my application or a way to check the status.

But I didnt submit until 12/19. St. Thomas is the only one Ive heard nothing from yet.
Hmmm, I think it's just that they happened to not have come across your application yet. I submitted 12/10 and it wasn't until 12/23 that I saw the change... So again, I'm thinking I only got in the 'line of vision' because of the doc I sent. I know there students are having long waits with other FL law schools so I think it's just a chance thing
You check the status through here: https://www.stu.edu/law/admissions/
Scroll down just a bit and you'll see a orange button that says "check now!' - that's where your admissions portal is
You need a log in though; which they have to give to you. When I applied to another school; I got it immediately and notice STU didn't send it - so I called and they gave it to me by phone
Or over the phone, rather

Yeah I have not gotten a log in or anything from them. Figured if I don't get anything today, I will call them. Thought I would have at least gotten "we received your application email" or something by now
I had to send them an email-- they just sent me a link back
Hey, I have a question for anyone that was accepted. Did you find out through the portal? or via US mail? The portal doesn't tell me the decision status but I just received a notification that states "applicant status online - mailing date 1/24/23"?
11:43
I got the same email today as well. However it says on the status checker that all decisions are sent through the US Postal service
11:44
When did you submit your application?
I submitted my application on 12/17/22 and the status changed to complete on 1/7/23.
12:01
We applied pretty close together, (12/19 sumbitted and 1/6 Complete)
I will definitely let you know if I receive any additional notifications. I just hope they don't take another 6-8 weeks to make a decision. I will lose my mind lol.
15:07
I'll do the same! And no kidding, this waiting is the worst. Makes it hard to plan the rest of my year
My status checker changed to accepted on Sunday 1/22 and I got a call from them today telling me, no email but they did say I would be getting a packet in the mail within the next couple weeks
9:04
Thank you for the update!
@legallybrunette-law: Hi, congrats on the acceptance! What did they specifically say about you being accepted. Additionally, did they make any mention about how slow/backed up they are with applications? Also (lol), what status update did you have prior to the 'accepted' one?
@FranticCuteKitten: thank you! he did not say anything super specific besides just saying congrats and that more information would be coming in the mail. Since I got my decision back within a month I did not ask about it being slow etc. I actually did not receive an email with my information. I waited three weeks then I called the admissions office. They gave me my login and by that point it already said "Under Review" and then changed to accepted. This seems to be a common theme that I am hearin
Congratulations on getting accepted @legallybrunette-law! Are there any applicants that applied in December still waiting for a response? As stated above, i applied 12/17, my status changed to complete on 1/7. My application status hasn't changed since 1/7/23... I'm going crazy over here lol
15:43
I applied 12/19 and went complete 1/6. Still havent heard anything either
