hmmmm, most curious....
Well they agreed to bump me to full tuition, have not committed anywhere yet but I am likely to make a decision this next week.
got waitlisted smh
Thought maybe things would change this year for Belmont, but as an early applicant (accepted yesterday) I will confirm here that they haven't lol
50% scholarship conditional on top 75% of class. Just not a competitive offer, have a hard time believing this school will be able to compete given how bad these offers are/ how pushy they are towards getting you to deposit (already bombarded with emails since yesterday, maybe 5 emails total already)
@wealthofnations: wow. Am going to be applying soon and was super interested in them, but reading this thread has me super concerned they'll toss me a shitty offer lmao
You might stand a better chance for the full ride with your higher LSAT, and I know my stats aren't elite, but given their rank and age of the program you'd think they would be a bit more generous. Seems like a weird strategy for them to be hunting stats/ only giving max money to high GPA&LSAT applicants knowing that most of those people won't end up there.
I actually went ahead and just immediately withdrew because I knew I would never take that offer. Not even worth negotiating given how much unconditional money there is out there elsewhere. Figured I'd free them up to at least offer the money to someone else.

if I have a 163 and 3.81 double major what are y'all thinking? I applied a few days ago thinking it was my top choice but after reading this I am not so sure

@happygirl292: I think you'll be fine and get a good offer since you are above both medians. Based on the data on here they don't seem to show as much love to high LSAT but not-so-good GPA splitters so all I can do is wait and see.
@happygirl292: others seem to be having better results - I guess they are just trying to boost both stats so they didn't like my low GPA. I do think the conditional scholarship is very dicey though. Top 75% of class is pretty aggressive.
Location aside, you'd find $$$+ unconditional money at schools ranked 50-100 with your stats.
14:19
yeah I got a full ride conditional on top 75%
14:19
considering because of the location and program
@wealthofnations: I just got an R lmao
@AboardStereotypedCrab: Guess they really don't like the low GPA while attempting to establish their medians being a newish program - that is genuinely bizarre
No way they should be rejecting any 169s, regardless of GPA lol strange program. You'd think unconditionals and attempting to raise the LSAT media would be the mission for a program that wants to establish itself/ establish a ranking
@happygirl292: Congrats! Not trying to rain on the parade haha Nashville is a cool city, I lived there for a year somewhat recently and Belmont is in a nice area. School has promise. Feels like a hefty conditional though. I'm not sure where exactly the information is located, but def check the scholarship retention numbers. Those will give a better idea imo if the conditional is as bad as it sounds or not
Feel like I'm just slandering Belmont in the chat here like a ex-girlfriend haha definitely unintentional. The school has promise, as I said. Just wish they were a bit more competitive with their offers.
Yeah me too. Went from liking Belmont, great location and seemed on the come up to now I'm just their #1 hater. Especially bc my experience in talking to the admissions office they were kind of just dicks.
But am genuinely happy for anyone who gets a solid offer and attends
Belmont is pretty sus not gonna lie
Was expecting full ride offer with 167 LSAT
Only got 50%
And conditional scholarships are like heck no, run the other direction. so many people online saying they lost their scholarship then had to pay 50,000 tuition for the final two years. not worth the risk
Lmao adding to the Belmont hate, just got the R after admissions called twice to ask me the same 3 questions, tell me my numbers "looked good", and ask if I'd still consider the school without a scholarship :)

15:43
they rejected me after calling me and asking me if i would go there without scholarship because my stats were too low for scholarship
SteelersReignSupreme
15:44
and it is wayyyy lower ranked than schools that accepted me and gave me unconditional scholarship.
Yeah they called me and essentially asked how would I avoid being lazy in law school since my UGPA was low.
what do you guys think of the 3+3 @belmont? Will you get higher chance of acceptance ?
