ferdfare

Ferdfare is an old English word that means a summons to military service or an exemption from military service. It comes from the Saxon words "fird" which means "military service" and "fare" which means "a going".

  • When the king needed soldiers for his army, he sent out a ferdfare to all the able-bodied men in the kingdom.
  • Some people were granted ferdfare because they were too old or sick to fight in the war.

The first example shows how ferdfare was used to call people to military service. The second example shows how ferdfare was used to exempt people from military service.

I would say to be careful with trying so hard to get a job at a firm. These schools are trying so hard to be diverse that they'd rather pick someone who works in Cheesecake factory as a 'chef' than someone who is ina firm

@NosyBeagle: obi try ur best, but realize LSAT score is correlated with law school grades, however not a sole determinate factor in success in law careers (what a cope, t161, but some truth lmao)
12:43
Also, from someone who waited until APRIL for a 161 instead of sending apps completed in fall at 155, I really shot myself in the foot. SO DO NOT DO WHAT I DID
yeah i think anyone who applied after xmas really got fucked
Nosy, good thinking. I also have a spreadsheet to be a bit more realistic. I have like their LSAT/GPA compared to mine
