The court found that the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) erred in denying disability insurance benefits and supplemental security income benefits to Sara Angel under the Social Security Act. The ALJ did not consider all relevant evidence regarding Angel's catheterization process and did not provide sufficient reasons for rejecting her testimony and treating physician's opinions. The court clarified the legal definition of Listing 1.05C, which includes specific criteria for vertebrogenic disorders. The ALJ also failed to address important testimony from Angel and the vocational expert regarding the time it takes Angel to complete the catheterization process and the potential impact on her ability to work. The matter is remanded for the ALJ to address the relevant testimony and reconsider whether Angel is precluded from performing her past relevant work.
