LSD+

LSD+ is here. You asked for it. We made it.

Over the past three years many of you have reached out asking for specific things, but the ‘LSD team’ is just the two of us. We were both full-time students until very recently (and one of us is still in law school) and we could only do a limited amount of things. LSD+ gives us the ability to expand what we offer beyond the status checker and user-provided data. Did someone say DMs?

We just got $100k from a big fan of LSD to build out better resources for law school students. The money enables us to work towards our ultimate goal, which is to even the playing field as much as possible for law school applicants, students, and graduates.

In the past we have done a lot of work that mostly cost us time. The new products we are releasing also cost us money. Since we don’t have any investors, we figured the best way to keep making products was to start working like a business and give LSD users a chance to support our mission.

Supercharge your law school experience.

Pay what you can

What the hell? Locking features behind paywalls? Doesn't this perpetuate the inequality that LSD purports to fight against?

This is absolutely something we are aware of. If LSD+ is too expensive, just make a free LSD account and shoot us an email (myaccount@lsd.law) from the email associated with your account with what you can pay and we will send you an invoice. We need to charge something to keep trolls off of our chat rooms and DMs. We don’t need your name, or why LSD+ would be a financial hardship, just an email that says “Hi, it is hard for me to afford LSD. I would like LSD for $XX dollars, please.” where XX is a number between 1 and 140.

Hey, does anyone know how LSData calculates its employment stat? I saw that Gtown's was oddly low compared to its 509s
@OptimalTenderCucumber: Take a shot at any schools you're interested in! While Stanford and Yale are indeed super tough (no one has gotten in with your stats recently: https://www.lsd.law/search/OmM3d), and only 1 out of 5 applicants got into Columbia, you have a good shot at all the others in the T6. 3 out of 5 got into Chicago, and, 2 out of 7 got into Harvard!
17:25
Do y'all think I could get Duke, Columbia, NYU, Gtown, or Penn w/ some $$ w/ a 3.78 and 173?
Columbia is a real stretch to get into with those stats. You have a better shot at the others, but it would still be a challenge. but, if you are accepted, I think they would probably offer you some scholarship funding. I would apply much more broadly, though. I think you need to apply to places like BU, GW, and Emory to be sure you'll have an acceptance.
What?? Those stats are firmly near the median for those schools. RollTide will at least have their essays read and resume reviewed by AdComms, which is all you can reasonably ask for. What happens from there comes down to factors we don't know

anyone else get the fordham feeler earlier today?
18:20
me
@InterestingMereEmu: I mean, over the past 3 years none of the schools OP mentioned accepted folks with similar stats at better than a ~42% rate according to data on this site (https://www.lsd.law/search/oFLCO). Columbia accepted 12% of similar applicants. I didn't say that OP wouldn't be considered. I said it was possible, but I wouldn't bank on it. It would be a bad idea not to cast a wider net, especially if a significant scholarship is the goal.
