Hey, looking to hear others thoughts on this decision- Hofstra is offering a full conditional scholarship and seton hall is offering 150k non conditional. With tuition hikes , I’d prob end owing 45-50k so I’m currently looking into outside scholarships that don’t look so promising. I’m interested in criminal law although that can change. I’d love to be a trial lawyer at one point. Seton is slightly closer to me in distance. Also I’m old. So def don’t wanna rack up debt unless it’s worth it. With a few more $$ I can prob pay off seton while attending. Can’t make up my mind. Thoughts?

@Journey37: If ranking matters to you, then I'd go to Seton Hall. Personally, I'd go where the money is. Coming out with a small debt is still a debt
22:22
@pinkprincessxoxo: thanks for replying. I could care less about the ranking but I do care that it seems like a better school lol. Agreed about the debt
22:23
Something I’m worried about is people keep telling me 50% of Hofstra students lose that full scholly

I looked into it further and you're right. That's extremely predatory and tbh maybe not worth the risk. The minimum is a 2.2 so you'd have remain in the top 50% percent of the class. One option could be to attempt to negotiate the scholarship
Has anyone gone from being on the waitlist to accepted?
no
