WashU had cops break up the protests (unfortunate but pretty common), and has now not only banned 6 grad students/faculty from campus but forbidden them to contact students in any way

Professors and students shouldn’t be supporting students disrupting final exams or shouting antisemitism slogans. Supporting Palestine isn’t antisemitic. Shouting intifada clearly is. Connotations matter. Hate speech is your right. Consequenceless hate speech is not.

Occupying a library or a building where exams are scheduled would be disruptive. Having to walk around a protest when you cross the quad is not disruptive (by that standard, bog-standard frat antics or students tossing a frisbee are also disruptive)

Intifada has historically been associated with terrorist acts and violence against jews. It's been frequently used by terorrist agencies. Context matters.
