@AvailablePossum: my husbands father went through cancer last year, and we moved to San Antonio to be closer to them. he is stable now but it was a rough year. I know matt was happy to be close to his dad even though he had to take a pay cut for a job here in town. he got to spend that time with his dad and now everyone is healthy and happy. Matt even got promoted and is killing it. a year may be what you need for your family. being together is the most important. I wish you the best
