@BankruptcyAndRestructuringLawIsCool: Allston is probably your best best for affordability and proximity

Yeah, I've heard of Allston. Never lived there though. What about Brookline? And places near Coolidge Corner? Are they too far away/too expensive, do you think?
housing in the cambridge area is a nightmare to find
i super recommend checking out the facebook groups and using this website for the search: https://www.harvardhousingoffcampus.com/housing
Thanks for the link. I've lived in the area before, and haven't really found housing that hard to find. But maybe I have lower standards for what constitutes acceptable housing than people on lsd. I'm also not looking to live in Cambridge specifically.
It's also the only place where I've really tried to find housing, so I have nothing to compare it to really.
Brookline is very nice, but more expensive on average
From coolidge corner to BU is not a super friendly commute in the winter
^ I bet. But I've lived in cold climates before. I'm (very) used to it.
Fair enough! If you're planning to walk or bike, it can definitely work

reached out to fin aid for scholarship reconsideration. they told me to show any competing offers to the dean. i dont actually want to go to the other school, but they're offering more money. obviously i wouldnt say that part to the dean but how do i use this to my advantage for leverage?
say just that then
that X school is your dream school/top choice school, but finances are a major limiting factor in your decision, and Y school is giving $$$ which makes your decision tough, choosing between the dream of X or the funds from Y, if school X could offer some financial assistance it would make your choice much easier

do you need an interview at cls to get off the wl?
I doubt its required unless theyre really really light on spots

Would it be bad idea to attend my local law school at full-price if the tuition is dirt cheap and I'll be living at home with 0 costs?

I'd be going to FIU (around 60k In-state total)
Yes, worth it. Good placement regionally
Same price as GSU
