can't be prescribed HRT by RNs anymore, can't receive telehealth based gender affirming care. must be in person. cant receive HRT on state health insurance
part of the process for my reception of gender affirming care involved telehealth because NYS requires a letter from a gender therapist and there were none in my area
Yeah, I can see how that actually does restrict things. I do think an actual doctor and not an RN should perscribe things but the telehealth and no state health insurance doesn't make sense to me.
drs can now also discriminate and refuse service to trans people. so what now. if you cant see any drs in your area in person bc they dont want to serve trans people, and you cant get telehealth out of state, then what?
Ahh well what you are telling me makes sense and it's not like something that's being blown out of proportion. I will have to consider this new information. You made a persuasvie argument today.
supreme court overrules korematsu but in trump v hawaii justice sotomeyer wrote in the dissent that the majority essentially reinforced the legal foundation for exclusionary acts. while i doubt under current circumstances something as bad as concentration camps could happen there is a legal framework and a fomenting political anger in the right that genuinely makes me fearful for any minority groups. we might not see concentration camps but we very well could see targeted legislation. i think even reductions in gender affirming care qualify and despite the harm they cause are not even the worse legislation i could reasonably see being passed
