Help us make LSD better!
Tell us what's important to you

making friends, circles etc. would just suck
15:06
@oconic: remind me what your stats are again? and when did you apply to UCLA?
if you think HLS to YLS is bad. there was one SLS to YLS one year...
15:06
that's so true hahaha i've seen that happen
15:06
idk hopefully i can do what julian did. not transfer but like be disciplined to read and take notes thoroughly and even re-read cases
i will say having worked as support for both litigation and transacitonal groups
litigation tends to attract more "oppositional" personality types

I'd rather transfer SLS to YLS than HLS to YLS, honestly. At least you're getting out of cali
15:07
julian was so dumb man. number 2 at nyu is eligible for scotus
15:07
whomst is julian
most transactional attorneys i've worked with see the end goal as everyone leaving a deal happy
15:07
litigators are the people in college who argued with the professor as a self proclaimed "devils advocate"
15:07
number 2 at nyu and transferred to hls
15:07
yup, i've noticed that too - but you kind of have to have that energy when doing lit
15:07
how do we know julian?
GullibleTurtle
15:07
apparently much harder to go from lit--> in house than from trans to in house
BasedBonobo
15:08
😔😔
WAIT HE WAS #2? I thought he was just top 10% or something LMAO
yeah there's limited in house litigators that exist
GullibleTurtle
15:08
kinda blows cuz id much rather do lit but the end goal is in house in sports/ent
15:08
@SplitOnMe: 3.7, 171, - applied end of Jan. I realize i haven't been waiting long at all lol. But a number of us had movement on LawHub 5 days ago, so we're waiting with baited breath. Looks like there was a WL wave late last week

When you transfer, don't you lose your 1L grades?
15:08
omg me too turtle
those that do basically just manage discovery/hiring outside counsel when a company gets sued/wants to sue someone
15:08
Is there any patern as to when duke sends emails out
15:08
no he was number 2 in his class, i am somewhat close to him
15:08
we want to expand the firm to do sports/ent
that said, in house litigation positions DO exist
15:08
@oconic: are you in-state? they tend to whip those out pretty fast
