i would agree with jb here. its a mix of both
also re: @SplitterusClitterus if I already wrote a hold LOCI do I write another lol

Yeah the statistical difference is probably not entirely explained by app date, it’s definitely a mix of both

@CondemnedPuffyGnome: I agree with you tho LG was my strong suit but I know the LSAT is a learned test and I improved on LR down the stretch

13:30
so I will choose to believe in myself and just give myself a few months to only lock into those two sections

1-2 years WE is the real super advantage though
13:31
@trees1234567: I cannot recommend finding a high quality tutor enough. It pays for itself in just a few weeks.

13:31
@ValleyH: that is the plan!! I am going to do some self prep the first couple months and then probably find a tutor for the home stretch
trees did you get that 164 with or without studying
13:31
@trees1234567: sounds like a solid plan!!
13:32
@trees1234567: Sorry to hear the cycle has not gone how you hoped :(
trees1234567
13:32
@manifestT14acceptances: I got it on my first try! I took a course and felt like I underperformed on test day with a bunch of tech issues and such
13:33
Finding a quality tutor took me from a 147 diagnostic to PTing in the high 160s/low 170s

@tree ucla IS a t14
13:33
I had done the Princeton Review course over the summer last year but I ended up scoring just a 151 on the Aug LSAT that year
trees1234567
13:33
appreciate you all :) I am writing my LOCIs and will keep the faith!
@trees1234567: ok im super excited for you to take it after studying then it's gonna be so good
13:33
but having that one-on-one attention and being able to pinpoint my weaknesses was such a blessing
trees1234567
13:33
@Ijustwannagetinman: I know I just did not want to start a firestorm debate lol
13:33
@trees1234567: you're going to be amzing!!

At 3.83/164, raising that LSAT to school medians will hopefully change a lot. Schools hit their medians by taking lots of splitters (they could not fill their class with above-both applicants) - it's a very different situation than applying below both medians
13:34
(Lots of splitters and reverse splitters)
13:35
did someone say splitter
13:36
I need someones UN to be SplitterNotAQuitter
13:36
i'm vaguely close
there def is someone w that UN
13:36
It is close
13:36
It makes me giggle but maybe that's because I work with 12 year olds lol

@manifest well I studied for a while in my 2 attempts, but feel like my class was not the way for me to make progress (I was PTing in the mid 170s on my second attempt and so it was a bummer to not improve my score at all) but also thank you all!! @jb I agree - I feel like the WLs show that the rest of my app was where it needed to be but I needed an LSAT at/much closer to school medians to get myself to an A (I'm out of messages so writing an essay here)
