My reasons are kinda dumb but I do want PI and i feel like DC is a good spot for that and then my dumb reason is I'd rather live in DC than Ann Arbor

Wanting to live in X city over Y city is a totally valid reason? That's not dumb that's like, something everybody should consider. Happy law students do better!
interviewed columbia in jan, still no response. gotta be ajoke
14:22
okay, thanks ya'll. makes me feel better. it's been feeling like a sorta superficial reason compared to outcomes/prestige/etc

Unless you get HYS or a vast scholarship difference, I honestly do not know how anyone passes up UMich
14:23
Is living in DC worth a substantially higher cost of attendance? Depends on your finances, goals, preferences, it's a personal decision. Not a choice to make lightly but it's your life, you can balance aspects of a law school differently from most

@Ijustwannagetinman: you can live in a city your entire career if you want (especially in the context of T14, aka national schools) - go to a school, not a city. If your goal is to live in a city, focus on that for post grad. They can align, but do not go "I will go to this school over that one despite everything else being but location (: "
