I felt ramble-y at moments but I never got cut off. Did you feel pretty good about the writing portion?
I timed and practiced all my responses for days... like that would somehow save me fro m my shite LSAT...
19:04
how long did it take to get a decision for admitted ppl
LetsGoUniverse
23:54
@LoneStarPossum: yes I did, hbu ?
LetsGoUniverse
23:55
@AdorableSwelteringBat: I wish I could have practiced, I didn’t know what the questions would be!
LoneStarPossum
12:14
@LetsGoUniverse: yeah, I felt really good about the writing. I did a lot of research about where they place job wise and Austin as a city in general - I am in DFW now but I would prefer the Austin scene.
LoneStarPossum
12:15
@LetsGoUniverse: but it’s been so slow hearing back from anywhere who knows how they’ll choose the class this year.
The status checker changed from saying we'd receive decisions in 4-6 weeks to 8-10 weeks now
It says all decisions rendered by the end of April. Does anyone know the new seat deposit date? Spivey only said that its currently unknown and that last year's was April 15th but with decisions going all the way until the end of April idk...
LoneStarPossum
13:36
@AdorableSwelteringBat: and from what I’ve seen the week counter starts after the completed interview if you got one. 🫡
@LoneStarPossum: that suddenly makes so much more sense
Either way, my numbers are currently garbage and I think I owe it to myself to retake and reapply. I just don't see a positive outcome this cycle
LoneStarPossum
17:30
@AdorableSwelteringBat: I feel that I just hate another year of full time work while trying to study.. it is awful
11:53
UT denied my scholarship reconsideration....tears

How much do we think Interviews play into consideration?
Everyone getting an interview this year was just a way to get around the affirmative action decision. They probably have an algorithm where they only need to view one second of every video to get the race/sex/ethnicity of all applicants. Video interviews aren't going to hold as much weight this year (in my opinion) seeing how so many people received invites. There is no way an admissions team is going to be able to watch that many interviews.......just putting this out there

21:24
@TexasVetToAttorney: I bet they watch more of them than you think. Many applicants are rules out based on stats alone, so those may not be watched but it doesn't take long to watch and get a sense of professionalism
go to ucla on LSD and sort by decision date :) a ton of WL and Rs today for UCLA
Does the status checker change before you receive a decision?
Hi I am applying to UT Austin and wante to see if it okay for me to send a LOCI without having heard back from them about a decision? I don't want to sound too desperate. Also, They are my first choice. BTW, this might be a dumb question but, I am a first-gen and don't have anyone to ask about this :)
Hi! I called and asked them and they said to only send a LOCI if you are placed on the waitlist.
12:57
@ElitePlasticOrange: when did you apply?

Hey, has anybody heard about how the WL movement might be this year? Texas LSAT scores are down, so I'm in my head that I still have a chance since I'm a (very large) splitter lol
12:39
i bet we'll see some WL movement soonish since the deposit date is 4/15!
13:03
has anyone had any luck negotiating scholarship with WashU as leverage? Right now my COA at WashU is still lower than it would be at UT and I'm thinking of taking that angle since they're close enough in the rankings to be considered peer schools.
15:17
is anyone going to ASD next week

wave rn? according to reddit...

i'll see ya there Bobbi!! YAY
I doubt we see any more waitlist movement than normal. Back in 2021, a year where law school attendance was down across the board there were only 3 WL>A on this site, which was more than normal and I would be surprised if we saw much if any more this year. Normally its steady between 0-2 reported on this site, so even seeing 5 would be a lot. The number of LSATs 165+ are down a bit, but scores 170-174 are only down marginally. Plus admissions teams know all this and adjust accordingly in the review process, leading to the guess there won't likely be more than the normal 1-4 WL>A we tend to see.
