I’m so tired of UNC’s blue hold taking up space on my chart. Waitlist me already so I can have a nice little yellow river, fr
just called admissions & they hope to have decisions released within the next 3 weeks, especially for those on hold. so sit tight! seems like they are overwhelmed with volume
13:59
@WildAssortedMoth: THANK YOU
13:59
but also....3 WEEKS?!?!
you're welcome! not the news anyone wants to hear but hopefully can give y'all some peace for the rest of the day lol
14:00
3 weeks?!
14:00
Jesus
14:00
thank you for calling though
3 weeks???
Is anyone else concerned that they like won’t have a full class lmao
14:14
At least the class they do have will be fully trauma bonded by the time they meet each other
14:22
I feel like I'm fully going to have to give up some of my scholarships before I hear from UNC
I have a deposit deadline due before THREE WEEKS
Good move, UNC. gate keep all the decisions until you are completely done reviewing them. Terrible idea to release in small waves so hundreds of us aren’t left waiting!
Also in three weeks it’s the week their deposits are due. They literally HAVE to release decisions by then
14:33
I mean it's also the date that they gave for "if you're on hold and don't hear by April 14th you'll be offered a spot on our waitlist"
14:48
:(
14:49
if they don't put on decisions by april 1, i bet they'll lose a lot of ppl who put deposits down elsewhere
3 weeks lmao no one's going to wait for that.
Spookyleopard
14:50
Yeah it seems rlly risky to do decisions past so many other schools deadlines, so i imagine they must be really backed up
Spookyleopard
14:51
I get for most people its like why risk an A you have at another school when theres no guarantee youll get into unc
they should at least release A's for people they know they want and R's for those with no chance. Its understandable to take more time on people that are on the edge but there has to be some they know they will or won't accept
put us out of our misery!
14:52
if it comes that other schools have deadlines early april and unc still hasnt said anything.... ppl will really have to decide if they wanna just lose 500$ deposit elsewhere to pick unc
14:56
i bet theyll put out some decisions thurs/fri
we have been saying that for 3 weeks now lol
15:02
@clinepo: honestly you're not wrong about the trauma bonding. I have a fat bear week tshirt and at some point I'll feel like I'll be wandering GSU's campus and someone'll go "...fatbear? LSD.law? Is that you?"
PerseusOwl
15:13
Also got people not even on hold, it’s comical we may not hear back in time. Look at the charts, no one that went complete after 12/13 has heard back. It’s astonishing
18:08
not quite, there are people who applied late december and were accepted. not everyone is updating on lsd.
