@Prxttylawprincess You're being considered at UVA with a 153?
13:56
I don't mean it as an offense I'm just curious
14:00
With a 162 and 3.0 I'm really curious what school I should be shooting for an ED on
14:01
Maybe Boston College?
FlatDecisiveMayfly
14:01
they haven't sent out an R wave yet unless you are ED
FlatDecisiveMayfly
14:02
so everyone is tech being considered
Well PrxttyLaw got deferred ED and not flat out denied so yeah they must have had something
I was being considered for ED and they pushed me to RD
DeadpanEquableTank
12:43
I suppose UVA is slowing down?
16:25
I have a 154/3.86 and UVA denied me for ED, but I'm also not URM.
16:26
Sorry, just straight rejected.
11:50
who tf got into uva with a 3.19 and 157 what
Prxttylawprincess
19:43
but my 3.7 got deferred :(
10:16
UVA is big on the whole-person concept. People with stats lower than mine get in each year. My biggest piece of advice is to focus on perfecting your personal statement: remember the audience you are speaking to and what they are looking for in an applicant. In my interview, I was told my application was unique because they could “see themselves in my application.”
DeadpanEquableTank
10:45
thanks for the advice @calesepp and congrats on the A!
DeadpanEquableTank
11:04
also update for those interested: as of Halloween last week, UVA admitted around 85ish applicants. This is from the Admissible podcast

@calesepp: congrats on the A, might see you next year
13:46
is getting a UVA interview almost a guaranteed A?
How long after your interview did you hear back?
ObtainableAddictedCoon
15:12
next day i think

19:21
@TediousDearBee: did you interview today, who was it with?
ObtainableAddictedCoon
16:06
@TediousDearBee When did you interview? Did you get a phone call to say you were accepted?
AnnoyingOpenYogurt
17:19
went from UR1 to UR2 today and my address is long??? anyone know if it's always been long lol
AnnoyingOpenYogurt
17:19
but no II yet so it seems like a bad sign
payforprestige
19:13
I don't think you actually went UR2, as there are a lot of reports of date changes within a day or two of complete
AnnoyingOpenYogurt
19:59
ah okay thank you!
PleaseGiveMeMoney
17:34
Hmmm. Just for clarification, I went complete and UR on 11/13. My date changed on 11/15, and I stayed UR. Would this be considered UR2? Or is it an example of what you said above?
payforprestige
3:53
I would consider that still UR1 or UR1.5 if you will.
payforprestige
3:54
but it is all speculation based off anecdotes so I could be wrong
