I was looking at confirmed attending divided by outstanding acceptances. seems like its up to 74 confirmed attending now also
whoops! i was on the wrong year for that 74 confirmed attending number
maybe thats a bad metric because lower outstanding acceptances is a good thing? But they have more confirmed attending than Berkely, NYU, Columbia

Any WL turn to an A yet? I think the first seat deposit was 4/27 so I was hoping some spots might open up

@ContemplativePenguin: True! I think its not gonna give us clear clues as to what the WL movement will be like, but we can def speculate. I also noticed, according to "confirmed divided by outstanding" for last cycle, the percentage was marginally higher at 36.63, compared to this cycle's 31.57 (and this discrepancy could easily be the result of uva just happening to have pulled from more people without LSD. Who knows, but I hope WL movement!!!
fingers crossed!

Has anyone heard anything?
I heard they overenrolled on initial deposits, so I don't have much hope

@EvasiveCapybara: I think that person on Reddit was capping
does the number of waitlisted on on here decrease when people withdraw? or does waitlisted hold and the withdrawn goes up
@AggressiveChiefBunny: It might not be true, but I also heard it from my friend who got into UVA who spoke with admissions. I'm still gonna wait and see until they kick me off, but I personally don't expect anything till after June 1
@AlexGListener: Idk if the withdrawn number goes down or not, but if you put your mouse over the question mark next to waitlisted, it'll show you the total waitlisted, WL -> R, and WL-> Withdrawn. The number in yellow/gold/brown is the number of people who are still on the waitlist rn (according to LSD)
Meant to say idk if the withdrawn number changes or not

That'd be a bummer if they over enrolled. Hoping some of us get some interview invites in the next few weeks!!!

they lose people every year to Harvard and Columbia when they begin picking from their waitlist, so even if they are slightly overenrolled, it is likely to even out or open up a few WL spots
Anyone else get an email today? Said they don't anticipate many new offers in the next few weeks, but it attached a response form to say whether you are staying on the waitlist.
Edit: they don't anticipate making any new offers.
yessssssss
do you guys think starting a second job at a restaurant in that number 6 box on the form
sorry i pressed enter on accident lol
Is starting a second job at a restaurant an update suitable for the #6 box on that form? I haven't started yet
I would think yes because it would be something you might update on your resume., but I'm not 100% sure that's what they are looking for in that response. Maybe worth putting down insofar as it impacts your ability to change plans, or how to contact you if they reach out while you're at work.
yeah that makes sense
I'll keep thinking on it for a little bit
thank you

that email ruined the vibe
What did it say?
@ClairvoyantChinchilla: it said “ I am reaching out today with another waitlist update. Given the response to our second deposit deadline, we do not anticipate making any new offers in the next few weeks. I will emphasize, however, that this is a dynamic process and one that we monitor on a daily basis. In the event that we are able to accept candidates from the waitlist, we plan to move quickly.”
The rest of the email was just the form
