@Javabrunn: I was wondering how long it took for you in-between getting WL and being accepted here? I'm in the same situation. Was WL on the 17th, received my WL form on the 22nd and now just a waiting game. 3.9 and 154

@EducationandHardwork: I've been negotiating my scholarship this past week. They are now offering me $105,000 (instead of 90k) total and I still can't afford that.

I wonder how many times I can negotiate a better deal with them. Did you only need to renegotiate once or go back and forth a few times?
i'm really hoping i can improve my LSAT in June and try to get more money. I'm looking at 160k rn for it. love the school but i know i can get a 160+ so hopefully I can get more money
I'm going to ASD and I'm planning on asking if I can score higher if I can get another increase in scholarship
14:17
I negotiated from 90-135-150 which I’m grateful for but I still feel screwed because first year is 66 and expected to climb almost 5% the following year and I’m sure the following plus interest rates . Ugh I wanna rip my hair out
14:17
I felt so close and now yet so far
14:17
I don’t feel like I can ask again at this point
14:55
Hey, looking to hear others thoughts on this decision- Hofstra is offering a full conditional scholarship and seton hall is offering 150k non conditional. With tuition hikes , I’d prob end owing 45-50k so I’m currently looking into outside scholarships that don’t look so promising. I’m interested in criminal law although that can change. I’d love to be a trial lawyer at one point. Seton is slightly closer to me in distance. Also I’m old. So def don’t wanna rack up debt unless it’s worth it. With a few more $$ I can prob pay off seton while attending. Can’t make up my mind. Thoughts?
@Whataremychances: I was able to renegotiate multiple times, but made sure to maintain a respectful tone
@Journey37: I would reach out to Dean Issa and ask to appeal your scholarship. Worst she can say is no.
22:25
@EducationandHardwork: thank u! Maybe I’ll try one more time. She’s extremely helpful. I thought I was good with their last offer until I realized I had the cost of school wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️
22:26
Has anyone had any success trying to get outside scholarships
Whataremychances
23:08
@EducationandHardwork: thanks, I did reach out again. They made it 35k a year, non conditional, and then today I got an email saying it's their final offer and that scholarships are getting more competitive:(

Of course,

I've been very respectful and grateful for all they've offered till now in my letters, but realistically, I can't afford it on those terms. Rutgers has offered me a much better deal.
why is auwcl ghosting me on a merit scholarship
0:20
Has anyone created an admitted students chat ?
0:21
Is anyone going to Seton planning to work in criminal defense ?
@Journey37: There is a facebook group for students that have submitted their first deposit.
12:25
So I sent another appeal and they haven’t gotten back to me it’s been over a week
12:25
My deposit is due may 1st but I’m just gonna withdraw and go to Rutgers kinda ridiculous they never replied to my emails
Whataremychances
14:44
@Veton: feeling the same
Whataremychances
14:45
Seton is being erratic and untimely with scholarship appeals, IME
20:47
They just responded after I sent an email. They changed my scholarship from conditional to unconditional with an extra 3k a year
20:47
I pretty much have decided on Rutgers I just really can't beat the price difference.
20:48
Or I should say I can't justify the extra ~25k a year
Whataremychances
20:59
Can I ask how much Rutgers is offering you a year?
1:27
14k
1:27
so a little under half paid. tuition comes out to 16k a year pretty much.
