@CollapsedRat: Thank you! You are so lucky you heard back soon. Your lsat score is really good. My lsat score is in the 25th percentile. But they are treating my application different because i was in law school before😑😑😑
Legallybeee1997
14:45
@CollapsedRat: idk about negotiating but i would definitely call and ask. The only thing i remember from last week information session that they will make sure everyone admitted get some type of award from MH

Legallybeee1997
17:41
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Me and you both! They just reviewed my application for the fourth time on 7/8. I applied in May. Im so nervous
Legallybeee1997
17:43
@CollapsedRat: did you negotiate the scholarship amount?
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
17:51
@Legallybeee1997: oh dang! I really hope they get to us soon🤞I like Mitchell Hamline better than my other school I just got admitted to 😬

@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: ooo which school you applied to and got admitted in? I saw your lsat score on the main lsd page for MH and its really really good. I wish i would have scored that high😭😭😭😭😭😭

@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: i think youll definitely get in!

@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: I saw the update on Lawhub first thing in the morning, got my email around 11 am EST
9:50
@Legallybeee1997: I sent in the appeal request with the information, but they have not responded yet.

@CollapsedRat: thanks!

@Legallybeee1997: thanks! it was a long time coming to get that score, but the long studying paid off. I'd suggest getting a LSAT tutor if you want to take it again, mine really helped me get better. I got in at Roger Williams University, and waitlisted at Penn State. Applied after June LSAT, so may wait to apply again in next cycle.

@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Thats really good! I took the test 5 times already and i went from a 136 to a 150. I was a bit upset about it cause i was pt in the 160 170 range but its way better than a 136 lol. I almost applied to Roger williams but i was like ehhh. I got waitlisted at Marquette. This cycle is harder for me because i was in law school before however i withdrew because i did not like my previous law school at all. I cant take the lsat for another 2 years unfortunately
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
17:21
@Legallybeee1997: Haha, yeah RW def isn't my first choice, but I wasn't sure how my score would come out. Congratulations on Marquette, they are a good one! Which school did you go to before? Omg 😲 I'm sorry I didn't even know they had a limit on how many times you can take it 😬 Sending good vibes hoping you get an A somewhere you like 🙏🤞💚
Legallybeee1997
17:54
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Lol i understand!🤣🤣🤣🤣 i went to nccu law. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT APPLY TO NCCU LAW. I was really shocked about Marquette lol because i was expecting a denial. And yes you can take it 5 times then 7 in a lifetime
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
18:48
@Legallybeee1997: oh really I didn't know NCCU was that bad? They have a pretty good reputation in NC I thought. Wow, that's crazy, well don't go to any school you feel iffy about, and if you need take a couple years off getting good softs and studying for the next time you can take it. Marquette is really good 😊
Legallybeee1997
19:09
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Yes its the lowest ranked in NC unforunatley
Legallybeee1997
19:09
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: I think im going to get my masters in criminal justice then reapply :(
Legallybeee1997
19:11
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: If you dont mind me asking why are you applying to a school like MH? If I scored in the 170s, I would be applying to t-14s and highered ranked schools. Please dont take this the wrong way lol
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
22:10
That would definitely help!
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
22:15
@Legallybeee1997: I wasn't really expecting the score I got, I thought I'd get a mid 160's score, so I applied to different ranked schools. I applied really late too. Also, my GPA is pretty bad. If I don't like the outcome from this cycle, I think I will apply early to more highly ranked schools. But MH is a good school, they have a lot of the classes, externships, and clinics I want. They have a good reputation in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I also like the flexibility of the hybrid program. It helps also that they give a lot of scholarship money too
Legallybeee1997
20:42
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Yes I understand! Im atp where im going to wait and apply next cycle and if I dont get in this year, I plan to get my masters then reapply for law school
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
13:35
@Legallybeee1997: I wish you all the best on your admissions journey!
Legallybeee1997
16:49
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: thank you same to you!
13:40
@Legallybeee1997: any update on your end?
AbortiveDangerousPuffin
19:12
@CollapsedRat: Just got in! My status just changed to admitted an hour ago, but haven't received email yet. Did your email include scholarship info?
Legallybeee1997
14:38
@CollapsedRat: sorry for the late response and I got denied :( i tried to do an admissions denial feedback meeting but they refuse to respond. But its okay Im still waiting to hear from other schools and im applying for the spring cycles as well
Legallybeee1997
14:38
@AbortiveDangerousPuffin: Congratulations!
Legallybeee1997
14:39
@CollapsedRat: I probably wont apply next cycle to Mitchell Hamline though because I did several emails regarding a request for the feedback meeting and they dont respond ever. I even left voicemails and still no response
