@DepressedPainstakingWyrm: 160 lsat but 2.83 gpa i was an A, not sure if that helps here
@DepressedPainstakingWyrm: what state are you in? one attorney at my firm went here and paid sticker price and will never pay off his loans. Go to a t4 school on a scholarship or go to a state school where you live

@FlutteringSqueamishPuffin: Thanks for your reply! I am in FL. In state is my preference but I am a reverse splitter so I wanted to cast a bit of a wider net just to be safe. I thought I had a decent chance here, so the WL surprised me.

@DepressedPainstakingWyrm: Exactly the same situation here! I am above both medians, out of state resident, and got waitlisted last week, which was rather surprising to me after comparing myself to other decisions... I saw somewhere that it helps to tour the school in-person if you're on the WL but there's not much movement for a few months otherwise :)

@DefiantCuddlyNightingale: Maybe they show favor for in state applicants first. It's ok, just like you I was surprised by the WL.

Has anyone who applied for the Woodruff Scholarship received a decision yet?
i got a 10k/year scholarship, this is off the table now. way too expensive.
13:25
@FlutteringSqueamishPuffin: Will you withdraw - or keep as a back up?
13:26
Seems like their scholly offers are coming in a little higher than that - Tried negotiating ?
I think maybe they give preference to in state studnets for schollies? Mine specifically said "Georgia Scholar" in the letter
im looking at the list of studens on this site. they seem to give a ton of weight to gpa. I see a guy with a 155 and a poly sci 3.8 and he got a ton of money
thats what i get for a stem major lol
yeah fellow poli sci 3.8 with $$$ here lol
Anyone thinking of attending ? I’m still waiting to hear back from other schools but I got a nice scholly so I’m def heavily considering !
Anyone hear from the woodruff scholarship?

ever was so nice. ive been to many other open houses and i thought mercer made the best first impression.
Just got an email saying I didn't get the Woodruff Scholarship - if you haven't gotten that email, turn your ringer on!! and congrats!!
11:04
I also received an email re the Woodruff scholarship
Has anyone received general scholarship/financial aid info yet, or MyMercer login to pay seat deposit, etc.
got a scholarship offer with my letter in the mail, mymercer came this week
Is it too late to apply rn?
I just got my letter last night, scholarship info was in the acceptance packet - I got it about a week after my email
How does everyone feel about the conditional scholarships?
are they actually coniditional? letter claimed that the min was "good academic standing"
it just seems weird because i guess their grading scale isn't 4.0 like most everyone else
@Mountaineer99: Mine specified 78 grade point average, I got the Georgia Scholar award
Same here, I’m just saying 78 is a weird scale
Is it out of 100?
11:40
hi everyone, i am wondering if anyone else on the WL has spoken to the adcomm about when we can expect movement (like after the seat deposit deadline) :)
