It’s for the girls gays and theys lol. Can be up to 28k/year, depending on the cost of attendance. I’m a semifinalist so not tryna count my chickens before they hatch…
15:27
But debt free law school, yes, I’m a fan

@AnxiousEnglishMajor: median gpa at GSU is 3.55 and median gpa at GULC is 3.85 according to LSD as an example

oops wrong thread
just waitlisted

Finally just sent my scholly negotiation email off to GSU. If they bite, I suspect I’ll be seeing some of my fellow “ghosted by Emory” folks in Atlanta come fall.

Accepted today! So excited about GSU this fall. Good luck to everyone still waiting, I know it is stressful!
Congrats @inflexiblesplitter! When did you apply and when did you hear back?
13:21
I just got an update that says my application requires additional review before the faculty admission committee. Does this mean anything or is it just UR2?
does anyone know how long ga state extends the deposit fee?

@MemberofKeating5: haven't asked but I love your username!!!

@ExcellentRuralOstrich: Thanks! I applied 3/14, complete 3/15, accepted 3/30 and I actually just received notice today that I was awarded a scholarship. I applied to the PT day program and will be attending in the fall. I think I completed the scholarship app April 6th or 7th. It moved really fast for me which is super lucky, I know it's been a crazy cycle. I wasn't expecting such a fast decision or scholarship offer, but it sure made my life easier. GSU was my top choice because, even though UGA is great, it would be a super difficult commute for me an I'm a non-trad applicant. But the scholly clinched it for me.
7:50
@InflexibleSplitter: same re. Scholly. I’m a nontrad, I’m coming in with career experience so knowing “hey I can achieve my career goals from GSU” means a lot.
7:50
Committed yesterday, because at the end of the day the GA offer was too good to turn down
12:52
What're the chances of getting off the waitlist in this cycle?
10:32
FYI for any accepted students that wanna actually attend, there's a mandatory "complete by 2pm EST 07/10" email survey we're supposed to do
10:32
just in case anyone is like me and almost forgot
Can someone look at my profile and chance me?
status checker has "ready for committee". anyone know what this means?
my decision got updated to "hold" not sure if thats a good or a bad sign or what i am supposed to do???
did they send an email?
for most schools that just means they want more time to review yours so it's a good sign they didn't outright reject or waitlist
most likely they're trying to figure out more of what the applicant pool looks like this year
So basically just saying “we wanna see see if there other applications who score better than you and if they do you’re out”?
I would say that's a pessimistic way to look at it but general idea is that yeah
Generally it's a good thing if they haven't outright given an R.
2UR date change yesterday. hopeful for a decision soon
same here, good luck!
look like 7-9 days for the last batch that got UR2s to decisions
