Exactly
Also reddit reflects mixed results following "decision made"

Usually it seems decision made watch for email results in WL or A. Decision made with no sub status typically indicates R
UnknownSpikyCow
17:08
Given where we are in the cycle, it’s likely a WL
Gotcha
makes sense - I'm surprised they would say that though
What could be the logic behind rejecting people since they applied in Jan/Feb? Higher likelihood to rush deadlines?
If so they got me haha
UnknownSpikyCow
18:01
I think they just tend to proceed in order of receipt when reviewing apps instead of the more dynamic process some schools have
UnknownSpikyCow
18:02
And just naturally have fewer spots available when you reach the end of cycle
WHERE IS IT
anyone know how long it usually takes to get the email after "decision made- watch for email within 24 hours"
i know my chances are slim to none but like please put me out of my misery duke
lol waitlisted the second i sent that
WL. Anybody know how many are on the waitlist / how likely it is to get off?
lol i withdrew from the WL as soon as I got that email
Ditto what Uttermost said - Is it possible?
odds are certainly not in our favor. lowest WL -> A odds in t14 (where odds are already extremely low) if I'm not mistaken
Ijustwannagetinman
18:00
Seems like nobody gets off the duke WL yeah
Ijustwannagetinman
18:01
like in past years no one on here has gotten off. They have the lowest WL a rate in the t14. Whoever said that is correct.
Someone on reddit just posted that the assistant dean said they got enough deposits to not have to use the WL in the short term

is it better to submit apps as early as possible (assuming they're fully complete) or is there any advantage to being strategic (e.g. more acceptances seem to come for those who submit in november/december rather than october) and sending them a little later?
if you're considering retaking in fall and think you can score better you should absolutely wait
if you're completely satisfied with essays and scores, submit early
but don't make up a fake deadline and apply earlier than you feel ready for
anyone know if there is any benefit submitting earlier than oct 31
