Simple English definitions for legal terms

A quick definition of forisjudicatus:

Term: FORISJUDICATUS

Definition: Forisjudicatus means the same thing as forjudger. A forjudger is someone who has already made a decision about something, so they cannot make a new decision about it. It's like when a teacher grades a test and gives you a score. They can't go back and change your score later, because they've already made their decision.

A more thorough explanation:

Forisjudicatus is a legal term that refers to a case that has already been decided by a court and cannot be retried or appealed. It is also known as "forjudged" or "forejudged".

For example, if a person is found guilty of a crime and sentenced to prison, they cannot be tried again for the same crime. The case is considered forisjudicatus.

Another example is a civil lawsuit where a judgment has been made and the case cannot be retried. The case is considered forisjudicatus.

These examples illustrate the concept of forisjudicatus, which means that once a case has been decided, it cannot be retried or appealed.

I imagine you've already looked at the data on here? There's one person who got in with nearly identical stats, but... they applied early, they're URM, they have what seems like impressive WE, and their essays must have been killer because they got in everywhere they applied except a WL at UVA. It also probably helped that they have over a decade's distance from their undergrad GPA
14:08
Apparently they dislike Manchild and her new album cover
NosyBeagle
14:08

@NemoPropheta: her whole thing is being horny and liking dudes so her album cover is on brand

@ParallelAgreeableOrangutan: Yeah I looked at the data. Not a large sample for similar stats really. Kind of banking on a high amount of withdrawn applications.

My brother in christ there aren’t many people with your stats because people with your stats don’t go to law school
SkillfulPossibleWoodpecker
14:24
Buddy, you have been active on this chat for months. Why don't you pick a law school, make some friends, go outside, and shut the fuck up already.
14:25

If you wanted to respond in a meaningful way you could have. It didnt hurt my feelings at all I don't really care I'm going to law school. I know my stats suck I'm pretty sure last time I talked to you I told you that was the best I have been able to do with accommodations and they were explained in addenda. It pissed me off because I'm looking for useful insight not whatever you're here doing.
14:32
git gud
14:32

The D in LSD stands for "data," and said data shows that people with those stats do, in fact, go to law school. Nemo just perpetually needs a snickers and a hug I think

I don't remember (or never knew) your situation, woodpecker, but even if you think you've maxed out your LSAT score, an early application next cycle might work wonders for you

as soon as those apps open again, go nuts
@SkillfulPossibleWoodpecker: I work as a legal intern in Harrisburg, and a majority of the attorneys have gone to Widener. It may not be flashy, but it can easily get you a well paying government attorney job.
I should preface: a majority of the attorneys in my office, not all of Harrisburg

@GoBirds40224133: I appreciate it. I have seen a lot of mixed reviews. Do you think there is a difference between Widener Delaware and Commonwealth or is it negligible.
@SkillfulPossibleWoodpecker: With your stats, I would go for Commonwealth. Also, Dauphin county is more affordable to live in than New Castle. Alongside this, you are right near the Capitol which means lots of internship opportunities with state agencies, courts, and firms.

I would like to try to transfer after my 1L do you see it being extraordinarily difficult to transfer to Pitt or Duquesne assuming I do well? I guess does originating at widener have an impact on transfer candidacy?
