A quick definition of discontinuor:

Term: DISCONTINUOR

Definition: A discontinuor is someone who has inherited a piece of land or property that is entailed, meaning it can only be passed down to certain heirs. If the discontinuor sells or transfers the property to someone who is not an allowed heir, it causes a discontinuance, which means the property is no longer entailed and can be passed down to anyone.

Example: John inherited a piece of land that was entailed to only be passed down to his children. However, he sold the land to his friend who was not an allowed heir, making him a discontinuor and causing a discontinuance of the entailed property.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: A discontinuor is a person who is a tenant in tail and conveys the entailed estate, which results in a discontinuance. This means that the property is no longer entailed and can be passed on to someone else.

Example: John inherited a property that was entailed, which meant that he could not sell or transfer it without the permission of the court. However, John decided to sell the property to his friend without seeking the court's permission. In doing so, John became a discontinuor because he broke the rules of the entailment and caused a discontinuance.

Explanation: The example illustrates how a tenant in tail can become a discontinuor by conveying the entailed estate without following the proper legal procedures. This action results in the property no longer being entailed and can be passed on to someone else. In this case, John's friend became the new owner of the property, and John lost his rights to it.

I wouldn't worry too much then and just apply as soon as applications open. Cause my guess is you'll get into some pretty good schools.

i found a legal internship posting for 1L summer and above at a fairly popular company. should i wait until the semester starts to apply since i won't have any activities/proof that i would be completing my 1L year by next summer yet, or should i apply now with just the school name on my resume so the position doesn't fill up?
damn we already applying for 1L jobs

this company is notorious for opening their applications early lol
16:51
i know for a fact they dont start interviewing until sept/oct but it is a very popular company so im not sure timeline wise if i should wait to have something of legal related substance or just apply now to be ahead
