i know people say they are the same, but a certain T14 school, when given a second interview, told me that a reserve group means it is way more selective and they place more priority to the list.
so if you are on a reserve list, then congrats and best of luck!

Wait, @peeledbanana, does Columbia have a reserve and a waitlist?
CLS reserve means waitlist
it is just what they call their waitlsit
some other schools do it differently, but for CLS there is no differentiation
CLS has never used the term waitlist.
I was waitlisted late april but applied in november. does being waitlisted later than those who applied around the same time mean anything?
Sooo... not a peep from Columbia
Jus got an R from Columbia off the WL
same bestie
I asked this question before but my chat refreshed before I could read the responses: Does CLS give merit aid to early decision applicants (not including hamilton)? I know you cannot negotiate since you have to withdraw from other schools beforehand.
Hoping to get R from Columbia waitlist just to eliminate the possibility at this point...
