Novi operis nuntiatio is a legal term from ancient Rome. It means "new work protest".

If someone's rights were affected by the construction of a new building, they could protest to the praetor. The praetor could then order the builder to provide security against any loss caused by the construction. If the builder refused, the praetor could stop the construction with a prohibitory interdict.

For example, if a new building was being constructed next to someone's property and it was causing damage to their property, they could protest to the praetor using novi operis nuntiatio.
