Seems like this week will bring some nice WL -> A.....
How do I ask a school when they’re looking at their waitlist without being annoying lmao? I reached out to a professor who said “mid-June” but the school hasn’t sent a single update
SymptomaticFoxhound

the line between wanting an update and not wanting to annoy them is so small
seeing this nyu and hls wl->As is so beautiful
time to see those wl acceptances trickle down
Maybe I’ll call them anonymously and ask hahah. Don’t need them noting that

@CloisteredDisgustingCheese: if you bury it in a LOCI like "i love this school also i would welcome any updates on the availability of seats" i dont think it would annoy them too much

but then you run the risk of them ignoring that part/getting a non-answer

is it weird part of the reason im excited to start summer work is just because it gives me a more solid excuse to send a LOCI
I’ve already sent them 2 LOCIs and I’m on their “priority waitlist”. It’s very clear I’ll go bc it’s the only one I applied to…
Or I’ll borrow someone’s phone and call from their number
just gotta *67 it and block your number lol

when you say you spoke to a professor do you mean you like cold emailed professors at GSU or was this a professor you already knew
manifestmoreadmissions
13:23
if its the former i understand being worried about annoying them but if its the latter i dont think you need to take as many precautions as long as you are polite
A family friend worked with the GSU law professor. He also wrote a really good letter vouching for me after we spoke

manifesting all our schools give us an update about when we’ll see WL -> A

make sure you're ok with them asking you to leave now, they might not be nice even though you're being nice by giving extra notice
