You get your JD and are auto accepted to the bar

3/4 full-tuition at Howard vs full-tuition at Minnesota. Really wanted to go to an HBCU, but the resource discrepancy is apparent.

@LawSchoolGirl2026: what were you asking for in scholarship reconsideration if you weren’t asking for more money?
and if they did read mine then they told me they need me to lose my scholarship so they can get money

no way fr
11:16
they offered me full tuition and i think the only condition is 2.2 gpa. how concerning is that? it doesn't seem like much, but idk why they reduced 30%

@LawSchoolGirl2026: maybe it's a sign you should just say screw em' and go elsewhere
i explained my conce4rns bc i have disabilities. they made my condition top 50% of the class

I feel that way about a few schools right now...
its 200 ppl. top 100 or i lose it
11:16
if they have bad vibes, i'm not sure that would be only during the admissions process...
i explained my concern bc my disabilities and asked if we can work out a gpa or something
11:16
it seems like it wouldn't be the most at-east experience

@jcs2002: fulll ride at UMN is really a great option, if it's any consolation

@plainjane: agreed!!
Hofstra was also warned by the ABA about potentially losing accreditation recently
they responded and told me they cant accomodate me bc they need money for other ppl.
so they didnt even read it

Hofstra ABA issues aren't due to bar passing or something like that, to be clear
it soubds like they did read it and gave you an answer
like why make me go through the formal paperwork to show my disability and concern
and no they didnt read it.
Admittedly the rule they violated was about staff diversity, not bar passage, so zero chance they actually get their accreditation pulled
11:18
honestly it kinda seems like they don't care if you fall below 50% because that just saves them money for other people
11:18
I don’t think that means they didn’t read it
11:18
But it does suggest that they expect to reduce a lot of conditionals so that’s concerning in itself
