Transferring from a T20+ to a T3 or T14 could be worth it depending on goals (if you're top 5% at a T20 you can likely get generic biglaw, if you want to clerk on SCOTUS then yeah, transfer to HYS if you can)

Transferring from a T14 with significant $ to a T6 or even a T3 is a more dicey proposition, there are very few outcomes open to a good student at HYS but not a student in the top 5% of at other T14s

Transferring from a T6 is almost never worth it, the grades required to transfer to a T3 can get you 99% of competitive outcomes from a T6
