yea wish there was movement next month
TabooIrateClam

I wish the deposits were cheaper
forces people to make worse decisions and negotiate less
GeneralKoala
17:14
cant wait to see the new rankings!
TabooIrateClam
17:14
I mean everyone does
TabooIrateClam
17:15
do people really decide based on the current year's rankings
TabooIrateClam
17:15
shouldn't people look at the rankings in the aggregate
1: Cooley, 2: Ave Maria, 3: GW (Sticker), 4: Stanford
AllCASNoWaves
17:15
i will pick my school solely on its ranking and nothing else
GeneralKoala
17:15
nah not really lol
TabooIrateClam
17:15
they won't graduate until 3 years from now and like that might change
GeneralKoala
17:15
it really shouldnt matter that much
like i selfishly would like to get off the wl at some of my top options in april, sure, but taking the long view it's not making much sense that first deposits aren't getting held off till may
TabooIrateClam
17:15
I mean it should matter but not this year's specifically
GeneralKoala
17:15
but it can def move the needle a little it
GeneralKoala
17:15
bit
TabooIrateClam
17:15
No for sure
TabooIrateClam
17:15
I'm sure for some it will

CAS RANKINGS
GeneralKoala
17:16
like if you're deciding between two schools and one of them for some reason drops a couple spots
TabooIrateClam
17:16
true
TabooIrateClam
17:16
I guess the rankings near the top are more like settled
GeneralKoala
17:16
the t14 will never change
i heard they only decided on methodology after they had all the data and ran a few different models which. lol ok
GeneralKoala
17:16
t15~t30 changes a lot
the t14 changed a few years ago
gulc dropped out for a year
that's why we say t14 instead of t10- the t14 are the schools that have historically been t10
17:16
I feel like if your goals are broad or accessible, t14 rankings have never been all that important for you
