I love JYs logic, it’s similar to my internal logic. I can’t see how you would use 7sage if you didn’t mesh with his style though. You should certainly go with a different system if that’s the case

He’s actually super heuristic. His teaching style is a lot of volume with focus on developing heuristics to narrow down the answer pool

It’s outdated. He uses older questions which use more formal logic but pt 70+ drifted way away from it and especially in the 80s
