@chag: of course, sorry if my comment sounded dismissive. I didn't mean it that way, I know how disappointing it is. you will end up where you are meant to be. But its ok to be bummed, go do something special for yourself

@crybaby2024: ive said before, but i think that my ps did more harm than expected. tl;dr i told a story of standing up to my superiors at a public service organization i used to work for when asked to do something that i felt was against our mission and compromised my beliefs. i thought it would paint me as a person who is committed to their beliefs and committed to standing up for people, traits i think are very important in good attorneys, but i fear it just made me come off as a self-righteous hardliner who refuses to compromise, all traits that are very bad in an attorney
hmm that's interesting. I see wht you took that angle though, it's a very common interview question. I was sort of wondering the same. Mine was about my work in environmental protests and i wonder if school's right now are like, "we're good on those, tyvm"
@chag FWIW my PS was partially about my leading a disciplinary appeal when my college club was suspended (for drinking on a chartered bus), which is not exactly stand-up behavior
