@GuiltlessPuffyDog: why is unlv your top choice? not that its a bad school but your numbers make you competitive at a decent amount of higher ranked schools
He might want to work in las vegas or the southwest. It was my top choice bc thats where i wanted to work and i have the stats for much better schools. Nevada only has one school and is an insular market. If you want to work in nevada you kinda have to go to unlv
@GloveDontSplitUMustAcquit: I want to work in gaming law in Vegas so I figured UNLV is the best choice for that. Las Vegas (off the strip) is a beautiful place to live IMO
Nevada bar exam also does not use UBE or have any reciprocity. You kinda have to go to unlv to work there
yep pretty much
but also yeah I just wanna be in the southwest in general. UNM, and UofA are my next choices if I get a not great schools from UNLV
Yeah i wanted to work in NV/AZ/NM too. Im gonna try to get my AZ bar by motion bc PA & AZ have reciprocity. Then after a few years of experience try and find a job in AZ
classic PA to AZ pipeline
be originial

hello everyone
thats great! Yeah idk something about the southwest just makes me feel at peace. Midwest sucks, east Coast is to pretentious for my liking and cali is just not financially feasible for me in terms of rent and everything for law school
good morning
did I justwannagetinman survive the Usc wave
anyone know

i'm sure we would've heard if they didn't
@GuiltlessPuffyDog: thsts the same way i feel. The northeast is just too expensive imo. My parents pay $10k in property taxes per year on a 2k sq ft home outside philly. The same size house is under 2500 bucks per year in property tax in az/nv. The cost of living and tax burden is way too high in the northeast. Then because of high property tax, you have high rent etc. the jobs in NV/AZ dont really pay that much less but the cost of living burden is a lot lower
well thats good, I didn't see
them enter anything in
@OvertReconditeSpider: exactly. Plus the scenery?? absolutely breathtaking. Living near mountains and desert would be freeing to me
Thats why i like the southwest. The desert mountains are beautiful rather than an old concrete jungle here lol

I'd stay in Miami if the Florida biglaw market wasn't so tiny
@SuaveCrouton: pretty sure its the fastest growing law market in the country
SuaveCrouton

For injury and insurance defense maybe, not BL. Texas has a way faster growing BL market IIRC
@GuiltlessPuffyDog: yeah i Kinda wish i picked UA but my plan was to live with my parents to save on rent after school while i pay off my COL loans. Then once im debt free or close to it, try to find a job in arizona ngl
idk dude it seems like you're making the financially sensible choice, im sure everything will work out!!
being debt free means you can afford to take more risks! Especially if you know what market you want to pursue post-grad

If by some grace of god I get accepted off the Vandy WL, would yall say its worth sticker?
9:59
big chested peeps, have y'all used boob tape? does it work?
10:00

ummm I haven't had the best experience with the tape
