Does anyone know if the ad comm at this school can view/hear what an applicant may have been saying/doing prior to actually recording his or her interview responses? I'm trying to figure out why I was waitlisted here when this cycle everyone else with my stats on lsd (with the exception of one person, who was also waitlisted) got admitted. It seems to me there are three possibilities: (1) I applied late (but there are people who applied as late or later who got in), (2) my interview answers themselves were s***/I came across poorly (this is possible), and (3) I said some disparaging things about the interview questions prior to recording my answers (I don't recall doing this, but I may have done so). I can't think of any other possible explanation. My bet is it's (2).

I know I'm a bad interviewee. This is something I want to actively work on prior to OCIs at whichever school I end up at...
9:09
Yeah I don't think they can hear what you say if you don't explicitly record it. I'm guessing its more your first option mixed with maybe extracurriculars. Hope you get off the WL or get into another one you really like. I also got WL'd, I applied late and didnt have the LSAT score so I'm thinking of retrying the LSAT and applying here next year

I doubt it's my extracurriculars. At probably every other school where I've been waitlisted or rejected, I think it's always been my LSAT score, which is good but below median at every T14. Here, though, the LSAT median is lower, and I've gotten into schools with the same or a higher LSAT median. So, I don't think it's the LSAT. I do think it's the lateness combined with my being an interviewee who comes across as unlikable.
11:46
Yeah that's fair and tbh the admits and WLs are all over the place. I don't think they're as predictable as other places. I wouldn't take much stock in any conclusions to be drawn from it. I was also WL and mightve had bad stats or unlikeable interview but there way more outliers that this website alone can't really be used to draw conclusions

Any predictions on the next A wave??
10:22
Irish, I have no idea. I was really thinking it was gonna be yesterday.

Sure hope so. It’s been forever

13:28
I think there might be an E wave happening?? Seeing people post WL and R's, I also just got a WL
14:44
i know this is crazy, but is it (practically) too late to apply?
15:45
@okiale: As long as the deadline hasn't passed, I'll never say that it's too late to apply.

@okiale: shoot your shot!

Does anyone have experience with Minnesota scholarship negotiation?
ImperfectIrishWolfhound
10:17
@Botting: yeah, they’ll ignore you for a few months and then finally say “we don’t negotiate”
gracethedisgrace
19:44
confronted them irl they said "sorry we don't negotiate"
TanSwankyCorgi
19:51
anyone hear about robina scholars?
13:53
They say that they tend to accept 5-8% (20-40) people off the WL so here's hoping
18:35
I've been UR like 8 times at this point including twice this week, lmkkkkk MN
18:41
most people who applied around my time (on this site) have a decision by now. I wanna say this can only be a good sign but maybe they're just really torn between R and WL lmao
12:48
So I take that to be bad news..
Anyone thinking we’ll see some WL action soon with their first deposit being due yesterday?
