A quick definition of National Telecommunications and Information Administration:

National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce that helps the President make decisions about how we use technology and communicate with each other. They do research to learn more about how technology works and how we can use it better. They also give money to help build better technology and make sure everyone has a chance to use it, no matter who they are.

A more thorough explanation:

National Telecommunications and Information Administration

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is a unit within the U.S. Department of Commerce that advises the President on telecommunications and information policy. It conducts research through its Institute for Telecommunications Sciences and provides grants to support advanced infrastructures and increase ownership by women and minorities.

  • The NTIA advises the President on policies related to the internet, wireless communications, and other forms of telecommunications.
  • The Institute for Telecommunications Sciences, which is part of the NTIA, conducts research on topics such as spectrum management and broadband deployment.
  • The NTIA provides grants to organizations that are working to improve internet access in underserved communities or to increase the number of women and minorities who own technology businesses.

These examples illustrate how the NTIA works to promote the development and use of telecommunications and information technologies in the United States. By advising the President on policy matters, conducting research, and providing grants, the NTIA helps to ensure that these technologies are accessible to all Americans, regardless of their background or location.

You remind me of a friend of mine from back in the day. They came in at the top of their class at a T14 but reapplied before doing this to get HYS. They still didn't get it the second time with perfect stats. That stuff is competitive and what does it matter anyway? Just saying!

Sometimes I’m like yeah i could work for five years and get into Harvard but that’s sooo much work

Haha didn't realize you were admitted at Cornell not why I'm saying this haha. I've also seen a few people get H and one person get Y the second time around. Hopefully things just work out now but if it doesn't go your way the second time don't worry ✌️ you 🫵 are amazing! For the record though my housemate's friend who graduated from Cornell has an appellate clerkship.
